I am a linguist and developmental psycholinguist working on language and literacy in Hebrew-speaking toddlers, children, adolescents and adults.
I served as the Chair of the Language and Literacy Association in Israel, the President of the Israeli Linguistic Society and as the Vice-President of the International Association for the Study of Child Language (IASCL).
I am currently the Vice-President of the Association for Written Language and Literacy and the General Editor of the journal Written Language and Literacy.
My work delineates the path of Hebrew nouns, verbs and adjectives from early childhood to maturity from lexical, semantic, and morphological perspectives.
I have worked extensively on the developmental psycholinguistics of Hebrew text writing and spelling.
My current work focuses on the emergence of Hebrew syntax in the interaction of mothers with toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years.
I have supervised over 150 MA theses and 20 doctoral dissertations, and have served the Israeli educational and academic systems in many functions.
